Holy Smokes, Knitting Content!

That’s right! Actual bonefide knitting content! I actually finished (at last!) the Sixth Sense Socks! I’m very happy about that, because I’ve been dying to wear them and now that they’re done I can! Here they are…

What do you think? I absolutely love the toe sock thing. They’re incredibly comfortable, I can wear them with my flip-flops, which is an huge plus for me, and they’re not very tall, so they’re not that warm, but they’re warm enough so my individually snug toes don’t get cold at night. I love them.

Here’s the mandatory “I’M WEARING THEM!” pictures. This is the hardest thing to do, but somehow I figured out how to do it by placing the tripod just so, but still. And look…

I can wear them with my flip flops!!! I’m telling you, I love them. And the colors are perfect so that I could wear them with jeans and with my flip flops, and they still don’t look too crazy. Kind of hippish, but well, I am a bit of a hippy.

It’s also Mr. Incredible’s birthday on Tuesday. He’ll be 35!

Here we go!

This gorgeous man, the man I want to spend the rest of my life with, will be one year older in 3 days. Little D and I went shopping today, and we found him the perfect gift. I like, Little D liked it, so I’m sure Mr. Incredible will like it. Honey, I know you’re going to read this later, so here’s a sneak peek…

That’s all you get until Tuesday! This wasn’t the easiest thing to find, but after looking long and hard, and stopping for lunch, we finally decided that this was the one you would like the most. I let the rest of you know what he thought of it on Tuesday. :)

By the way, as you could tell in the picture, I actually got a bit crafty with this one. Me and Little D took out black pens and wrote “I Love You” over and over again on some strips from the wrapping paper and I turned that into a bow of sorts. It’s not as cute as I would have liked it to turn out, but I tried.

Pomatomus

So I’ve been knitting like mad! Especially since I took this trip to Orlando with Mr. Incredible and Little D. Knitting on the road is a good way to pass time. I also picked up the movie The Lost City and I watched it partly on the way up. I had forgotten my headphones, so I couldn’t watch it until we made a pit stop at one of the service plaza’s on the way up so that I could buy some headphones so I could watch the movie. I got a good 2 hours of knitting time put in before I was able to watch the movie.

I did have a small problem though. I had already started the second pattern chart repeat when I noticed something wasn’t right. About 7 rows down, or something equally as massive, I forgot a YO or two and was missing two stitches from the pattern and I didn’t realize this until it became a problem. Needless to say, I had to frog back all those rows to figure out where it is that I had messed up, only to keep going. I’m pretty much back to were I was before I had messed up, and I think this is coming out pretty good! I’m using Koigu in color P102. I’m too lazy to look up what color it actually is right now, so if anyone would like to find out the name of the color for me, that would be real helpful.

On a side note, I’m sure you’ve noticed that I’ve changed the look of my blog, again. Please let me know what you think and if there’s anything you’ve noticed that isn’t working right. I’m still trying to work some of the bugs out of the theme.
