So I have one, yes only one Pomatomous sock finished. I recently finished it on a road trip I took with the family. I’m not to sure about the toe though. It hasn’t been blocked yet, but the toe just doesn’t seem right to me.
I love the way it looks. I love the way it feels when I wear it, and I love, love, love the colors! Now I just have to start/finish it’s friend which still looks like this:
So, I have a lot of knitting to do. Not to mention that the first package for the Rockin’ Sock club should be going out next week, according to the site. I just hope school doesn’t get in the way of my knitting.
Now, as for the other thing I’m knitting, I’m also working on an iPod sock. I got the idea off of this website and kind of ran with it. I’m using my leftover Stargazer Lily yarn from Knit Picks, and I love the way it’s stripping up. Tell me what you think!
It’s basically the same one as in Chocolate and Vodka, but I’m knitting it differently. I’m knitting the pocket straight onto the sock so I don’t have to deal with the sewing later. Not that I mind sewing, but I just don’t want to deal with it. I’m being lazy I guess. I like the way it’s coming out though, and the ribbing is consistent all the way through, so I’m pretty happy with it, so far. I will have to graft the bottom part, so I think that’s going to be the only sewing that I can’t get away with.
Next on the knitting agenda: the socks from the Rockin Sock Club package, as soon as I get it, and wrist warmers to keep in my purse, because I am so tired of it getting spontaneously cold on me! For example, yesterday I left for work and it was chilly, but not that bad. Then when I went to lunch, it was about 60 degrees out and it just kept getting colder and colder as the day went. So, I need emergency wrist warmers, and an emergency shawl that I could keep in the car. Maybe I’ll pick on from the lace knitting book that I have.
