Jenny Craig

So I decided to sign up for Jenny Craig.  You know it’s time when you just don’t fit into anything anymore.  My mom had been hounding me for a long time to join with her.  She joined, I still hadn’t, until Saturday.  Now I’m actually excited about this and I thought I’d build a little support area for this.  So here go some intimates that I really would hate to publish, but in the end it’ll help me realize my goal.

Starting weight:  225
Goal weight:  140

Start date:  March 24, 2007

If I lose 2 pounds a week, I should be at my goal weight in about a year.  Let’s see what happens!

All work and no play…

I have been unable to knit ANYTHING for the past week!  Actually, no, I lie, I knit some on Sunday while at a kiddy party, but for the most part I have been so incredibly busy with work, not even school just work, that I’ve hardly had any time for myself!  On Thursday, we get a call from another one of our offices up North.  They have a dire need for my assistance on a project that was due Monday.  Mind you, the work they need me to do is enough for 3 full days.  I had the remainder of Friday, which actually lasted til 10pm, and Saturday to get it done, so it could get reviewed by the guys up North and submitted to the client on Monday early afternoon.  This was only one of 3 deadlines I had.  I finished one yesterday, and I’m finishing up the third one now.  Mind you, I worked late Thursday and skipped class because of it, I was at work for 13.5 hours on Friday, and I worked another 6 hours on Saturday.  The overtime I racked up is awesome, but now I have to play catch-up in my school work.  Thankfully I’m on Spring Break from the University, but the college is still in regular session.  I’ll have to explain this another time as it’s quite complicated.

So I have the pair of socks cast on that I worked on some on Sunday, I haven’t even been able to look at the Pomotomus, and I haven’t had enough breathing time to do the gauge swatch for the feather and fan shawl OR the Rockin’ Sock Club sock!  What I need is another 12 hours in a day to get everything that needs to get done, done so that I could have some me time.

IT FINALLY ARRIVED!

I’m dying….DYING I TELL YOU, because the past two days, I have been laying around at home with a very angry tooth until I was finally able to see the dentist yesterday, and now I’m feeling much better. All that time spent at home I was completely stalking my mailman waiting for my Rockin’ Sock Club package and it never arrived. Today, I walk into work, and there’s the beautiful Priority Mail box sitting on my desk, patiently waiting for me to open it. See…

Sorry for the lame picture. I know it’s not that great, it’s off my cell, in a not well lit office, and I was taking it while hiding under my desk so the people around me didn’t think that I was completely off my rocker taking pictures of a box. Anyways, IT FINALLY GOT HERE! I’m so excited and I’m dying to show it off to you guys, but there’s a Rockin’ blackout until everyones gotten their package so as to not spoil the surprise for them all. The box and label are fair game though.

So now I have the 3×1 socks to finish, the matching pair for the Pomotomus sock to finish, and now I have the STR sock to start, plus I still haven’t even contemplated starting the gauge swatch for the shawl that I want to knit. I really should get started on that gauge swatch. All this knitting while attending school, work, and tending to my family.

By the way, I found something super cool while web-surfing yesterday as I was home trying to heal my angry tooth. Over at Urban Outfitters I was looking through their home stuff, and I came across this:

Snoopy Sno-cone

I’m not the only one that had this as a kid, am I? I used to love it! My mom got it for me when I was about 5, and we used to sit down and make strawberry Kool-Aid or Orange flavored snow cones all day! It was so much fun, and yummy too. As silly as it is, I used to love it!
